You can economically mill a single crown or small bridge quickly and easily.

Compatible with Multiple Materials

The DWX-4 Compact Dental Mill is equipped to mill standard blocks and pin-type materials, including wax, PMMA, zirconia, hybrid ceramic, and resins. Hybrid ceramics and resins, such as VITA ENAMIC® and 3M™ ESPE™ Lava™ Ultimate Restorative are acclaimed in the industry for their superior strength and aesthetics. They can be finished without firing, which dramatically reduces labor and production time.

Powerful Yet Easy to Use

The DWX-4 combines simultaneous 4-axis milling with simple one-button operation. An automated tool changer provides two tools for precision milling from start to unattended finish. Monitoring production is enhanced by the large viewing area and LED-lit interior. A status light alerts the operator of any errors or malfunction to help prevent wasted time and materials and enabling lab technicians to carry out the milling process with confidence.

An integrated air blower prevents excessive dust buildup, while a negative ion generator that neutralizes static electricity when milling PMMA. Adding to peace of mind, the DWX-4 includes a dust collection system and sensor that prevents the machine from starting if the vacuum is inadvertently left off.

Virtual Machine Panel

Unlike traditional CNC mills, DGSHAPE has replaced the complex controls with a user-friendly Virtual Machine Panel (VPanel) which operates machine diagnostics and the calibration and milling processes right from your computer desktop. The VPanel also tracks overall machine time for maintenance purposes.

Connect Multiple Machines

Highly scalable, the DWX-4 offers multicast capability that allows you to connect up to four Roland machines to one computer, making it easier than ever for dental labs to expand their businesses and increase production capacity. The DWX-4 Compact Dental Mill lets labs control the entire process in-house with a single software seat, maximizing your investment and resources.

Before you buy, you'll need a few things.

Dust Extraction System

You will need a dust extraction (vacuum) system with this machine. 

Make sure to get one that meets the following conditions:

  • Static Pressure: 4 kPa or more
  • Air Quantity: 2 m3/min or more

Use the supplied dust extraction hose. You should clean the dust collector regularly. For more information, visit BOFA International.

Compressed Air Supply Source (Compressor)

Compressed air is necessary for this machine. You also need to prepare an air hose to connect the compressor with the regulator.

Make sure to get a compressor that meets the following conditions:

  • Air Pressure: 0.2 to 1.0 MPa.
  • Air Capacity: 30 L/min or more
  • Contamination of the compressed air by foreign material is undesirable. Use an oil-free compressor.
  • Moist air may cause rust. Use a device equipped with a dryer.
  • Stable pressure is required. Select a source that has an adequate tank capacity.

The air hose must meet the following conditions:

  • Hose Outer Diameter: 6 mm (polyurethane tube)
